SEAMEO Secretariat in collaboration with SEAMEO Regional Centre for Archaeology and Fine Arts (SEAMEO SPAFA) organise SEAMEO Cultural Week 2015 as part of SEAMEO 50th Anniversary celebration. The programme serves as a platform for schools in Southeast Asian countries to share their cultural heritage with viewers across the region and beyond.

Primary, secondary and higher secondary schools in the region are welcomed to submit a 2 to 5-minute video presenting a local form of their cultural heritage, such as a dance, a song, traditional craft-making, cooking a traditional dish, storytelling trough drawing/painting or playing a traditional game. Each video should not exceed 500 megabytes (500 MB) in size. The video submission should be no later than 30 September 2015.

On 2-6 November 2015, selected videos from two to three Southeast Asian countries will be published online on SEAMEO SPAFA’s YouTube Channel ( each day. On the same date, it is recommended that the videos are shown at school. After viewing the videos, teachers and students are then discussed the ‘mini-essay’ question posted as comment from SEAMEO SPAFA. Student/class/school who posts the winning comment will be awarded with US$200.
