SEAQIL Programme for 2021

SEAQIL announced its activities for Fiscal Year 2021. This also marks SEAQIL’s readiness to carry out its strategic plan this year after its achievement of high budget realisation up to 97.79% along with the implementation of programmes amidts the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, SEAQIL has also assisted in improving the professionalism of 2340 language teachers in 2020.

SEAQIL Deputy Director for Programme, Ms Esra Nelvi M Siagian said that for the 2021’s programme plan, SEAQIL will develop a model including a boks development on series of teaching assessment with its stages of development, development of competency standards for ILFL teaching, development of Android-based ILFL learning materials and development of ILFL learning videos. Regarding the Android-based ILFL learning material, she conveyed that the idea was an effort to respond the change of era towards a technological basis. In addition, she added, the modules compiled by SEAQIL will be translated into the local languages of Southeast Asian countries.

Furthermore, SEAQIL will conduct meta-analysis for the results of SEAQIL Regrants 2020 and implement SEAQIL Goes To School in Myanmar and Timor-Leste. Regarding human resource development, she explained, “The professional development for teachers involves four things that are carried out online, namely HOTS-based language training, language teaching research methodology, development of instructional video scripts, and enhancing language competence of language teachers.” In improving teachers’ profesionalism, she added that SEAQIL collaborated with the Office of Education for Provinces in Indonesia which have already in join-partnership with SEAQIL as well as provided the open selection opportunity for several participants under the terms and conditions.

Regarding the ILFL programme, she explained, SEAQIL will hold training in ILFL teaching methodology in Indonesia and Thailand and/or other Southeast Asian countries. In the context of fora, SEAQIL will hold seminars in celebrating SEAQIL’s 12th anniversary and surely SEAQIL’s annual international symposium, i.e., the 12th AISOFOLL. Meanwhile, SEAQIL Deputy Director for Administration, Dr Misbah Fikrianto added that appart from teacher professionalism development, SEAQIL will also held capacity development activities for staff to support its institutional performances.

In conclusion, SEAQIL hopes that the program to be implemented will not only reach language teachers in Indonesia, but also in other Southeast Asian countries. Program SEAQIL Tahun Anggaran 2021

SEAQIL mengumumkan kegiatannya untuk Tahun Anggran 2021. Hal ini sekaligus menandai kesiapan SEAQIL dalam menjalankan rencana strategisnya tahun ini pasca capaian daya serap anggaran yang tinggi hingga 97,79% dengan pelaksanaan program di tengah pandemi Covid-19. Selain itu, SEAQIL juga telah mendampingi peningkatan profesionalitas 2.340 guru bahasa pada tahun 2020.

Deputi Direktur Program SEAQIL, Ibu Esra Nelvi M Siagian menyampaikan bahwa untuk rencana program tahun 2021, SEAQIL akan ada melakukan pengembangan model meliputi penyusunan buku seri penilaian pengajaran dengan tahapan-tahapan pengembangannya, penyusunan standar kompetensi pengajaran BIPA, penyusunan materi pembelajaran BIPA berbasis android serta pengembangan video pembelajaran BIPA. Terkait dengan materi pembelajaran BIPA berbasis android, beliau menyampaikan gagasan tersebut merupakan upaya menyikapi perubahan zaman ke arah basis teknologi. Selain itu, imbuh beliau, modul yang disusun SEAQIL akan diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa lokal negara-negara di Asia Tenggara.

Lebih lanjut, SEAQIL akan melakukan metaanalisis hasil SEAQIL REGRANTS 2020 serta menjalankan program SEAQIL Goes to Schools di Myanmar dan Timor-Leste. Terkait dengan pengembangan SDM, beliau menjelaskan, “Pengembangan profesionalitas guru menyangkut empat hal yang dilaksanakan secara daring, yakni diklat atau pelatihan pengajaran bahasa berbasis HOTS, metodologi riset pengajaran bahasa, penyusunan naskah video pembelajaran, dan peningkatan kompetensi kebahasaan guru bahasa.” Dalam pengembangan profesionalitas guru ini, beliau menambahkan bahwa SEAQIL bekerja sama dengan Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi yang telah menjalin kerja sama dengan SEAQIL serta memberikan kesempatan seleksi beberapa peserta secara terbuka sesuai dengan syarat dan ketentuan.

Terkait dengan program ke-BIPA-an, beliau menambahkan, SEAQIL akan mengadakan pelatihan methodologi pengajaran BIPA di Indonesia dan Thailand dan/atau negara Asia Tenggara lainnya. Dalam konteks forum, SEAQIL akan menyelenggarakan seminar dalam rangka HUT ke-12 SEAQIL dan tentunya simposium internasional tahunan SEAQIL, yakni AISOFOLL ke 12. Sementara itu, Deputi Direktur Administrasi SEAQIL, Dr. Misbah Fikrianto,  menambahkan bahwa selain peningkatan profesionalitas guru tersebut, SEAQIL juga akan melakukan kegiatan pengembangan kompetensi staf guna menunjang kinerja institutional SEAQIL.

Simpulannya, SEAQIL berharap program yang akan dijalankan tidak hanya mencakup guru bahasa di Indonesia, tetapi juga di negara-negara Asia Tenggara lainnya. Sebagai catatan, informasi program SEAQIL tahun 2021 bersifat tentatif dan responsif menyikapi kebijakan pemerintah Indonesia dalam penanggulangan COVID-19.
